Foxit Reader & PDF-XChange ViewerClick image to enlarge Everyone uses Adobe Reader to view pdf (portable document format) documents. Foxit Reader does as well, but loads much, much faster. It also has basic tools built in (e.g. typing tool, highlighting, notes) which is useful for marking and editing. Version 2.3 has built-in tabbed browsing when more than one pdf document is open, a very useful facility (see image above). Perhaps even better is PDF-XChange Viewer, which is also fast and free. It has more editing options and several useful tools which are not available in Foxit Reader. For instance, both have a typewriter for adding comments or filling in pdf forms, but unlike with Foxit Reader, the saved document is not marked with evaluation marks. Grrrreat!!
