Riva FLV Encoder & Flowplayer

If you want to put a video on your web site, the best format is to use flash as most internet users will be able to see it without having to install additional software. Several programs are available to convert and install flash movies but the freeware combination I have found the most versatile is Riva FLV encoder (to convert the original movie to flash) and Flowplayer (to install the flash on your web page). Riva can easily be configured to produce different resolutions of flash with or without sound, for instance. Flowplayer is reasonably easy to add to your web design and can be configured without too much difficulty. Most importantly, and unlike some of the other freeware programs which are available, it comes with comprehensive instructions.
